The VacStent GI™ combines the advantages of well-established therapeutic approaches in a single innovative solution for the treatment of anastomotic leakage and gastrointestinal defects. The integrated sponge enables endoluminal vacuum therapy by providing continuous drainage of inflammatory exudate and supporting the formation of granulation tissue.
At the same time, the covered nitinol stent ensures reliable sealing of the leak within the lumen while preserving physiological passage through the gastrointestinal tract.

Areas of application
The VacStent GI™ is designed for the treatment of clinical conditions caused by perforations and leaks in the upper and lower endoscopically accessible gastrointestinal tract (esophagus, stomach, duodenum and colon). It combines the function of a fully covered nitinol stent with the continuous drainage of endoluminal vacuum therapy via an integrated polyurethane sponge. As a result, the VacStent GI™ offers several advantages, making it an effective solution for complex gastrointestinal challenges.
